The regions are the areas of the local electricity networks, so they don't follow county lines.

Some surprise people: Milton Keynes and Coventry are in the East Midlands, Croydon is in South East England, York is in North East England, and Chester shares a region with North Wales. Near a boundary, neighbouring streets can be in different regions – your bill settles it.
To be sure: your bill
Look for the 13-digit MPAN, or "supply number", on your electricity bill or in your supplier's app – the bottom line, if your bill shows it in a box marked S. Its first two digits are your region: the surest way to tell.

The last letter of your tariff code, such as E-1R-AGILE-24-10-01-C, is your region's letter: A Eastern England, B East Midlands, C London, D Merseyside and North Wales, E West Midlands, F North East England, G North West England, H Southern England, J South East England, K South Wales, L South West England, M Yorkshire, N South Scotland, P North Scotland.
